Work in progress part 3 of my custom Korra action figure. Since the last WIP I posted, I've finished getting the shape of the legs correct after lots and lots of sanding. Aside from the feet, the legs are now done. I've also begun to sand and shape her right arm so that the shape is correct. Added a neck and began working on her head recently too. The biggest step now is to go back and alter all the articulation points so that when casted, the parts can just snap together and won't require any pins, screws, or glue like most other action figures.

I think you need to sand down the outer side of the right leg (left in the picture), it's flaring out noticeably more than the other one.

Aside from that... it's sweeeeeeet! lol

I think I may have after this pic was taken. I worked on it a bit more since taking this but don't remember off the top of my head what exactly was done. But I think I wanted to keep one leg a bit wider than the other since that was how she was shown in the official art I was sculpting this off of.

You do?! I need to get back to work on this ASAP then. I often forget how much people want to see some of my things completed. Lately I've been so swamped with so many things that I haven't had time to work on anything at all. And I ran into a million problems with this Korra sculpt. Mainly when trying to make the articulation molding and casting friendly. I'm weighing my options and thinking that I may need to change my approach to this figure.

Is there any more progress on this figure? I'd definitely be interested in reserving one when you finish the sculpt :D

Thanks for the interest. There is a little but not too much to show. The biggest roadblock that I'm facing right now is how to make all the articulation so that it's easy to mold/cast and doesn't require any pins or rods to assemble the figure. That is extremely challenging and I'm having a ton of issues doing that. If I were just making this figure for myself and didn't have intentions to mold/cast it, I could have been done soo long ago.

thanks! Right now, the parts aren't really snapped together. They're just snug in place. I'm in the process of modifying each joint so that when casted, they can just snap in place and not require any pins or anything. It's hard to explain. I'll post a deviation showing what I mean once I successfully get a part done.
